It’s not the first time the glass octagon has been used for arts activity; it was used by Hybrid Arts Director, Stella Carr, in the nineties as an exhibition space for sculpture and prints.  ‘Art on the Move’ was a collaboration with Tessa Beaver and John Herbert. Hybrid Arts Director, Tim Ellis, said “We are thrilled to have been granted permission to use the space again by Warwick District Council. It comes at a time when two very similar major national projects are underway. Arts Council England are running a fund to support artists using empty shops as studios ,and lead singer of the Undertones, Feargal Sharkey, heads up a lobby group to encourage local authorities to use empty buildings as rehearsal facilities for young bands.”
