Fashion taking shape at Hybrid

The fashion and textiles arm of Hybrid Arts has really taken off this month, thanks to the fantastic support of our young people.

Two Year 11 girls in particular have been absolute stars, Danielle Shields and Beth Hill, who have been volunteering their time after breaking up from school on study leave.

They may have now finished statutory education, but they have been coming into Hybrid Arts five days a week, to produce a series of fashion pieces for our launch event, Plugged In, taking place on June 21st. Working as a team, the girls have sourced a number of second t shirts from local charity shops, which they are upcycling to produce some fantastic individually customised tops. Hybrid Arts are really impressed with their dedication. The girls will have their own stall at Plugged In – come and see their creative work on the 21st of June, and perhaps you’ll be taking some new items home for your wardrobe.
