Hybrid Music Club
Hybrid Music Club delivers informal music training to young people from the local community. We are providing a safe space for young people to go and express themselves in a constructive manner and learn new skills at the same time, especially making this accessible for disenfranchised young people who find themselves at a loss with nothing attractive to engage in out of school – this can often lead to hanging around on the streets and resorting to antisocial behaviour due to boredom and low self-esteem, low aspirations. Hybrid Arts wish to build upon this provision and open up Hybrid Music Club to the whole community to make it the nucleus of music based performance and training within the community.
Our long-term vision is the creation of a dynamic musical community, which has been lacking in the local area. The benefits of such a community are broad – awareness of the community and different groups within this community, ideas sharing, positive contribution to local society, boost to local creativity creating a thriving musical scene. Hybrid Music Club provides a space for people from different cultural and musical backgrounds to mix and explore music, contributing to long term stability to the local community.
